Why our programmes run inside schools

Young people should not need transport money and a free afternoon to access support. So we go to them.

A well-being service that requires a bus fare across Kampala has already filtered out the young people who need it most. That is why so much of our work happens where young people already are: classrooms, halls, community centres and group chats.

Working inside institutions also means working with the adults around them. Teachers and matrons see the early signals long before we do. A short briefing with staff often does more for a school than the session itself.

We also stay for a term rather than dropping in once. One assembly is a nice memory. A recurring circle is a relationship.

If you lead a school or a youth institution and want a HazeYouth circle on your calendar, we would like to hear from you.

Strive for more. Stand together.

If you are 15–35 and ready to be part of something bigger, there is a place for you at HazeYouth.
